Fatten
up your profits with
agroSchwank nursery heaters
Cut
fuel, insurance and maintenance costs
Imagine
having a nursery heater that delivered the
right kind of heat. In the right place.
At the right price.
Think
of what that would mean. You could heat
what needs to be heated - your stock - and
avoid what shouldn't be heated (feeders,
aisles, ceilings). Your stock would get
the form of heat that is most easily absorbed.
And you could work at a far more comfortable
temperature.
|
"The
agroSchwank allows
you to control where heat goes and
where it shouldn't go. It's like
having a heating blanket with two
controls."
- Weaner Barn Operator John Bos,
Auburn, Ontario. |
It
all adds up to savings on every pound raised.
That's what makes the agroSchwank such an
appealing alternative to other heating systems.
Forced
air is far less efficient. Worse still,
it sends heat to the ceiling, not the pen
floor. In-floor water heating is are more
expensive to install and requires an auxillary
forced air heater. Infra-red tube heaters?
Typically, they are installed over the aisle
between pens. That means the heat is in
the wrong place, heating and deteriorating
the feed, and even the best tube heaters
can't provide uniform heating over the entire
length of the tube.
Now
consider the agroSchwank high performance
infra-red heater. It focuses a measured
amount of infra-red radiant heat at the
end of the pen opposite the feeder. This
is ideal because it allows each pig to
find its own comfort zone. Some will
be directly under the heater, some will
move a few feet away.
Use
propane or natural gas. Either way, you
can save on insurance and maintenance
costs because the agroSchwank uses standard
"low" gas pressure.
You
can heat 10 pens or 100. Plus you can adjust
the heat intensity in each pen with a quick,
turn-of-the-screw height adjustment. Patented
features like our EffecTile
and sealed, acid proof electronic ignition
control ensure reliable, worry-free performance.
And if one heater does need service, the
rest of the system keeps working, something
that's not possible with single heat source
systems.

infra-red heaters
are strategically located to create
a comfort zone
well away from the feeder.

More
focused heat. Higher energy efficiency.
Lower production cost. Why settle
for anything less?
|
So
don't settle for force fits or half-right
solutions. Choose the heating solution
that's made to order for your needs and
budget - agroSchwank. It's
just one more example of the breakthrough
technology that has made Schwank a leading
supplier of high efficiency infra-red
heaters around the world.

| Water
heating
Water
heating systems are the most expensive
to install and maintain. They also
have to be supplemented with inefficient
forced air heating. And when the
boiler is down, your barn is down. |
|
|
Forced
air heating Forced
air systems heat the entire barn.
This is far less efficient than
focused heating. Worse still, the
heated air rises, so the warmest
part of the barn is the ceiling! |
Radiant
tube heater Most
of the heat produced by centre-aisle
tube heaters is wasted on the aisle
and the feeders, which should not
be heated. Moreover, there is a
different heating pattern in each
pen. |

there is no unnecessary heating
of the aisle. |
